The Puck Pimps got through the first period level after preventing the Pterodactyls from scoring during Mike Gilligan's high stick, which was a brief 5-on-3 when Eric Racine's trip sat him. All in all, not a bad period for the Pimps, but they fell behind in the second the Pterodactyls scored on a power play to make it 1-0 while Greg Mustoe was out for a hook. The Pimps would have to go down a man for the fourth time, elbowing here, but they would go into the third at even strength and trailing by just a goal.

The Pterodactyls would be disappointed to give up a goal to Racine from Vivino, especially after four power plays, but they would have another chance to score on Mustoe's unsportsmanlike conduct. They would not, and call timeout at even strength, which eventually saw their final goal in a 2-1 Pterodactyls win.
